@john: You will be able to open your iWeb site in a web browser and copy and paste most elements into EasyWeb. But directly opening an iWeb site won't be supported.

I am looking very much forward to EasyWeb. I am a genealogist and I have with great pleasure made a number of more or less private web-sites with iWeb.

Now I am about to make a more professional genealogy site, and here I really need social media integration, and e-commerce integration. Among other things.

Hope that EasyWeb is released very soon.

Hello,

Having just upgraded my daughters old mac to lion we find it impossible to open old websites in iweb as they are saved straight into a directory structure instead if as a Domain.sites2 format.

Katie's site, and a few others all have the same problem, is there a way that Easyweb will be able to interpret these old directory type iweb files? if this can be done it will save days of locating and re building content.
I have no technical knowledge about these things but imagine that if a domain host can read and interpret this information, maybe Easy web could do too.

Hoping you can help ...............John

I've heard I have to have Rage Hosting for EasyWeb? That's a killer for me I think, I've got many websites and have prepaid hosting for 3 years out. I'd lose a ton of money. I hope you come up with an app I can use in other web hosts. I'd really like an iWeb replacement.

Cannot wait. iWeb sets a very high standard in terms of ease of use and capability (the page layout and content manipulation are great; sadly the absence of common features built-in to the software, eg dropdown menus, forms, social media integration, lack of straightforward e-commerce integration, rigid navigation bar etc etc is being felt as I for one, expect more. One more thing, don't dare omit the "instant alpha" feature!
PS Are you there yet?
