Who’s visiting your EverWeb website?

June 2nd, 2015

We’ve add the ability to easily check your visitor stats within your EverWeb client area (EverWeb + Hosting accounts only).

Without any configuration or installation on your end you can now see;

  1. How many visitors your website is getting
  2. Where your visitors come from (search engines, other websites, etc…)
  3. Where in the world your visitors are located
  4. Your top visited pages
  5. How your visitor count changes month over month
  6. Plus a lot more

To view your website stats simply follow these steps;

  1. Login to your client area
  2. Click the ‘Services’ tab and then ‘My Services’
  3. You will see a list of your services with us. Click the table row you want to check (most customers will have one hosting service listed)
  4. On the next page, press the ‘Metrics’ button near the bottom of the page

These stats will give you a very interesting overview of how your website is being used, who’s visiting your site and where your most popular pages.

If you’re looking for even more stats, EverWeb integrates very easily with Google Analytics. Remember, Google Analytics is very powerful with lots of features and may be overwhelming at first.

    Hello,
    When I get to the part, “To view website stats simply follow these steps…” I am able to see the “My Services tab.” I am able to see the link to my website. However, there is no “View Details” button next to it and when I click on the website’s name, it takes me to the index page of the site. There is a button, “Active” which takes me to a more detailed screen of my account. However, nowhere do I see the path to “stats.” Is visitor tracking a part of the basic web-hosting package that I have?

    I am having nothing but problems trying to get code for a counter outside of Everweb. I want to add the counter ASAP. I keep running into blocks. The website suggested on Everweb’s tutorial is no longer giving out counter codes, as they are overloaded. Please update that tutorial/URL.

    Please let me know how to safely add an “https visitor counter.” I paste the code into the HTML widget, and apply the code, but I either get advertisements from the code’s website (even when I delete those parts of the code), or the code doesn’t work.

    Thanks for any help you can offer,
    Eva Banister

    Hi Eva,

    You can get to the Stats of your website by logging into your client area;

    Don’t click the website name, just click anywhere else in the table row. On the next page you will see a Metrics link. You should click that.

    I am not sure which hit counter you are trying to add to your website but it’s likely free because of the advertisements. You don’t need it though because you can get to the Metrics as explained above here.
