Are you uploading your exported website folder from iWeb or your domains.sites file?
You should be using your exported website folder from iWeb.

I am uploading from the local folder i published to from iWeb aswell. After spending a day trying to publish, finally it just worked - i didn't do anything differently. I haven't tried it again today.

I have added new title tags, meta tags and image attributes using iWeb SEO Tool, I did the whole process, saved my iWeb site to a folder on my desktop, opened it in SEO Tool, made the changes I wanted to make, and published to MobileMe using SEO Tool... however when I went to my website the changes were not made.
i tried completely deleting my website from my iDisk and doing the whole republishing process through SEO Tool again and it worked. After making changes to my site through iWeb i did the whole process like I am suppose to do, and the changes from SEO Tool did not show up on my site. So once again I deleted my website in iDisk and republished through SEO Tool, and this time my website uploaded to my iDisk, but when I went to my website it said that the mobileme site i am trying to access is unavailable in about 5 different languages.
I read the FAQ's and I did apply meta tags to every page and I did republish to a folder using iWeb, but then I made the all of the changes I originally made using the re-apply all save changes button in SEO Tool, then republished to MoblieMe using SEO Tool. I talked to godaddy.com, I am not using domain forwarding with masking, it is an option i have the choice to use or not and I am currently not using it.
and NOW I just tried to publish using SEO Tool and I got the following error "Could not create Directory" then had the path to my iDisk.
anyone else have a problem like this at all and how did you fix it?

I am publishing using SEO via ftp.
I keep getting the following message:
/httpdocs//assets.http/--
www.mydomainname.co.nzplist: No such file or directory
It has worked once and published successfully, but for the last 2 days the same error message comes up when i try to make changes and republish through SEO.
Any ideas?

If you can send a compressed version of your website to us using the form at http://www.ragesw.com/support/ we can test it here.

You select your website folder in the Finder. Then go to the File menu and select compress. A file ending in .zip will appear. Please send that to me using our support forum.
Hi there, thanks for all your help.
I have zipd the domain successfully, filled out the form, but its taking hours to upload - ie: i have hit submit and it just says "loading" in my browser, but nothing happens (been an hour). Have tried a few times.

Can you upload it somewhere? Like to your FTP server and then provide me a link to download?

Hi Anna,
Can you upload it somewhere? Like to your FTP server and then provide me a link to download?
Thanks so much for all your help.
I tried all day yesterday, then tonight - it just worked - out of the blue. Must be something i am doing, or its my host.
If i continue to have problems i will try what you suggested above.
Thanks again.

Typically iWeb 09 saves your site as follows:
some_top_level_directory
+ assets.http/--yoursite.com.plist
+ your_site
+ index.html
When iWeb uploads assets.http/--yoursite.com.plist it converts this file into a binary plist and names it assets.http:--yoursite.com.plist
If you are using iWeb SEO Tool specify the directory your_site rather than some_top_level_directory for your FTP upload. This will avoid uploading the assets.http/--yoursite.com.plist. Note that if you want this published in the same place iWeb publishes your site, you will need to add your_site to the path for FTP upload.
For example: if your path in iWeb is public_html, then use public_html/your_site for iWeb SEO Tool.
I typically upload twice: once with iWeb, and then again with iWeb SEO Tool.
If you rather upload only once and don't care for the assets.http/--yoursite.com.plist or the index.html then you can use iWeb SEO Tool and just publish to public_html. Be sure to remove any old public_html/your_site directory you may have uploaded with iWeb to save some disk space.
You may be worried that ignoring the index.html file under some_top_level_directory may cause an issue. It will not. iWeb creates the directory structure as follows:
+ assets.http/--yoursite.com.plist
+ your_site
+++ index.html
+++ other_files...
+ index.html
Both index.html are little wrappers that actually point to your Home.html page. So if you just upload your_site to your public_html everything will work just fine.
Hope this helps!
