Hi

I have been working on my site and have had an 'under construction' page visible to the public when you type in my url www.babychic.com.au. I am now ready to publish my site to the public and am trying to remove this page. I am using iweb, so have deleted the page, republished it through iwebseo, however my page still goes to my under construction page. I called my provider and they advised that it is because my sitemap is pointing my url to this page. I have since tried to do a new sitemap but the under construction page is still listed in the sitemap. I have tried to delete all files containing under construction and am still having no luck... pls help!

Hi,

Sorry for the problems you are having.

This doesn't have anything to do with your sitemap.

Did you delete this page in iWeb?

Make sure you delete it and create a new default page. Try publishing once in iWeb which will delete all your existing pages and upload your new site. Then everything should work fine.

I have deleted the page from i web and republished however still having same problem. Should i publish direct from iweb to ftp and then republish through iweb seo to get all my tags re-added. Do i then need to do another sitemap?

Yes try that, but make sure you are exporting your NEW site in iWeb to a local folder and opening that in iWeb SEO Tool. If you open your older exported site in iWeb SEO Tool you will get the under construction page.

You should create a new sitemap just to make sure it has all the correct pages from your site in it.
