I just downloaded and ran Google sitemap automator on two of my websites. Worked really well and fast. Anyways, my question is what happens if I set all of mt pages to the highest priority? Is this a good or bad idea?

I have the same question. Probably not good, I think it is a relative rating to the rest of your pages. I don't really now, but I have been looking over the specs on Google's site.
