So I asked a few web experts to look over my site, being proud of the work I'd done with the iWeb SEO tool, and both told me there are no meta tags in my home page.

So I look at the source code (Firefox, Tools, Web Developer, Page Source), and I see the following:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR...nsitional.dtd">

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
<head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />

<meta name="Generator" content="iWeb 3.0.4" />
<meta name="iWeb-Build" content="local-build-20120718" />
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7" />
<meta name="viewport" content="width=700" />
<title>Welcome to *************************************************

Note that NO meta names that I worked so hard to install using iWeb SEO tool made it above the title page.

Am I doing something wrong, or is iWeb SEO tool just not finishing the job it was supposed to do?

Edit: There's no meta tags after the title line, either...

You most likely did not publish the website correctly. This is a common mistake but is easily fixable. Please see this tutorial to see if it helps solve the problem;

Let me know if it does not.
