This section describes how to properly install or uninstall WebDesign as well as the various methods to purchasing a license. You can also find information on entering your registration number and where it can be found after placing your order. Installation for WebDesign is very simple and does not require any installer applications or restarting of your computer. Only the files you move to your hard disk are installed on your computer.
To install WebDesign, unstuff the downloaded archive and mount the disk image. The disk image will contain the WebDesign folder which includes the WebDesign Application and all files to enhance WebDesign in various ways. Simply drag this folder from the disk image and place it somewhere accessible on your hard drive. If you are using Mac OS X, It is recommended that you place the WebDesign folder in your Applications folder.
WebDesign can be uninstalled, if needed, very easily. Just drag the WebDesign folder from your hard disk to the Trash can and empty the trash. If you like, you can also remove the WebDesign Preferences folder located in your System Folder->Preferences on OS 9 or username/Library/Preferences folder on Mac OS X.
Installing Plug-insTo install plug-ins, create a directory named 'Plugins' in the same folder as the WebDesign application. Place any plug-ins within this folder and re-launch WebDesign if it is currently opened to begin using the newly installed plug-ins. You can create sub folders within the Plug-ins folder to help keep your plug-ins organized and manageable.
Installing Language ExtensionsInstalling language extensions is just like installing plugins however you place Language Extensions into the Language Extensions Folder. If no Language Extensions folder exists you may create a new folder and name it 'Language Extensions'. Unlike plug-ins, Language Extensions can not be inside subfolders. They must be located at the root of the Language Extension's folder.

After the wizard is closed, the WebDesign registration window will open with your serial number already placed in the Serial Number field. Simply enter your name and email in the appropriate text fields and click the Register button.

Your registration number is contained in the confirmation email that you received after placing your order. If you ordered from eSellerate, it will be in the Order Summary section. If your order was placed through Kagi, the serial number will be included in the note at the bottom of the email.
Open the about window and click the Register button to open the Registration Dialog. If there is no Register button, then WebDesign is already registration.
Once you have your registration number it is a good idea to copy and paste it directly from the source into the Serial Number field excluding any quotation marks and extra spaces.
Then, enter your Name and email into the appropriate fields and press the Register button.

Upgrading from Version 1.x-2.xIf you are upgrading from version 1.x to version 2.x and you already have a registered 1.x version you should see your registration number in the Version 1.x Serial field.
The serial number that you received will ONLY work if you have a 1.x version of WebDesign registered on this computer. If no serial number appears in the 1.x serial number field, you must re-enter your version 1.x serial number in that field. If you no longer have your version 1.x serial number, refer to the FAQs or our support pages at http://www.ragesw.com/support.php for details on how to obtain it instantly before sending an email to Rage Software.
Please note that if you did not receive a license code when you placed your order which will appear in the form of ###-#, then ignore the license code field and leave it blank.
Once you have entered your version 1.x serial number, follow the steps in the first section and input your upgrade serial number.
You may distribute WebDesign electronically for non-commercial purposes provided that it is unmodified and includes all accompanying files, folders and documentation from the original downloaded archive.
