Toronto, Ontario December 21, 2004 Rage Software today announced the immediate availability of Macintosh Explorer 4.2.1. A, free update to the integrated file browser and file management tool and the first Macintosh file browser to include tabbed file browsing.

Macintosh Explorer brings the hierarchical navigation style of Windows Explorer to the Mac. Complete with filter based file browsing and all new tabbed browsing, Macintosh Explorer surpass the functionality of Windows Explorer. Also offering powerful file management tools such as the batch file info changer, back up utilities, folder archiving features and extended file information, Macintosh Explorer is a new, unique way to navigate files.

Macintosh Explorer 4.2.1 fixes the find file feature which was broken in version 4.2, fixes a potential crash when deleting more than one file at once and adds a check for update feature at launch and from the Apple menu. Macintosh Explorer 4.2.1 is a free update to registered 4.x users.

Macintosh Explorer is available for users of Mac OS 9.x and Mac OS X 10.2 or later. It can be downloaded from the Rage Software web site at <http://www.ragesw.co.../explorer.php>.
