I am trying to make a button for my first imagemap. Does the button have to be just as wide as the rectangle I designate for the effect or can it be wider for small pictures? How do the width and zoom sliders (in ButtonDesign) relate to each other? Which should I set first if I want to make a button a given width? Is there a way I can make the text use two lines in a square button?

None of these subjects are covered in the manual.

Thanks for any help.

The button can be smaller or up to the size of the hostpot you specify.

The width button will simply adjust the width of the button without losing quality in the button backdrop. The zoom scales the button so as it gets bigger, it may look more pixelated. You should set the width if you only want a longer button.

If you want the text to span two lines create a new text file in Text edit and write your caption in on two lines. Than copy and paste that text into the Caption field in RAGE ButtonDesign. A future version may support this directly.
