The new Contact Forms Enhanced Addon is a great new feature in EverWeb 3.0 that lets you manage your customer form submission data and file uploads all in one convenient place. We have put together a Q&A on Contact Forms Enhanced Addon (CFE) to answer some commonly asked questions…

Q. What is Contact Forms Enhanced Addon?

The Contact Forms Enhanced Addon (CFE) allows you to capture customer data and file uploads from your website’s contact forms. Your customer data and files uploads are easily accessible from your EverWeb Client Area. You can download your data to a CSV file as well as download any files uploads your customer has submitted to you via the Contact Form.

Q. Which Contact Form Widgets Can I Use CFE With?

A. The Contact Forms Enhanced Addon is for use only with the Contact Form Advanced widget.

Q. How can I purchase?

A. There are two ways in which you can purchase CFE. The first is by going to your EverWeb Client Area. From the Services menu select Order New Services. On the left hand side of the next screen select the option for Contact Forms Enhanced. Order the CFE plan that suits you, then proceed to the checkout.

Q. Are there different CFE purchase plans available?

A. Yes, you can choose either a 1,000 form submissions with 1GB file upload plan or a 10,000 form submissions with 10GB file upload plan. Each plan can be purchased for a one, two or three year renewable period. Purchases of the 2 or three year plans are discounted over the yearly plan rate.

The second way to purchase CFE is directly from within the Contact Form Addon widget. After adding the widget to the page in your website, click on the dropdown menu of the Contact Forms Enhanced Add-ons field. Choose the menu option ‘Add Contact Forms Enhanced Features…’. Follow the instructions to complete your purchase.

Q. I’ve purchased CFE but I don’t see it listed in my CFA.

A. If you cannot see the CFE Addon lived in the Contact Forms Advanced widget, quit EverWeb then relaunch the app, then check your contact form again to see if the Contact Forms Enhanced Add-ons field shows the option for the CFE.

If it does not, check that you are signed in to your EverWeb account using the EverWeb-> Preferences menu. If you are not signed in, you will not see your purchase listed in the Account tab.Once you have signed in, you should see the Contact Forms Enhanced Addon listed.

If you still have issues, please contact EverWeb Support for more assistance. In your EverWeb Client Area, select the ‘Open Ticket’ menu option.

Q. Can I duplicate a form that already uses Contact Forms Enhanced?

A. Yes you can. Once you have duplicated the form, be sure to rename the ‘Contact Form Name (Online Management)’ field so that you can distinguish the two forms from each other. This is important when viewing contact form data in your EverWeb Client Area.

Q. What is the maximum file upload size allowed?

A. The maximum size of a file upload from a Contact Form is 1MB.

Q. What happens if I add or delete fields in my form?

Any fields that you add to, or delete from, your form will appear in the form submission data. You will not lose any form submission data if you change your contact form at a later time.

Q. Can I use CFE on more than one form?

A. Yes. You can use the Addon on as many forms in your website as you want. Each form should be uniquely identified, though, using the ‘Contact Form Name (Online Management)’ field

Q. Can I use CFE on more than one website?

A. Yes, CFE can be used on all websites that you build under your own EverWeb Customer Account Name.

Q. How do I add file uploading to my form?

A. In the Contact Form Advanced widget, add a new Form Control using the Add button below the Form Controls list. Name the control as you want then set the Control Type to ‘File Upload’. The widget will update in the Editor Window to display a ‘Choose File’ button. Remember that you need to make sure that you have purchased CFE and selected it in the Contact Forms Enhanced Add-ons field of the widget. If you select the File Upload Form Control without this set, you will be asked if you wish to purchase Contact Forms Enhanced Addon.

Q. How do I access form submission data and customer uploaded files?

A. You can access your form submission data and any file uploads from your EverWeb Client Area. Once logged in to your Client Area Home page, click on the ‘View Form Submissions’ link in the left hand column of the page.

Q. What about GDPR?

A. You should mention on your website that you collect and  store data from your contact form(s).  This is basically the same approach as to when you receive an email which is also stored on a server with the user data.
