The links on my web site as on the server are coded as "..text/file.html" Web Desin seems to have changed these links to "text/file.html" and the the browser shows the actual code to be "text/text/file.html". If I change the code to "../text/file.html" the browser shows the link to be "text/..text/file.html" The result either way is that I don't link.
How do I avoid this and why does Web Design think it has to be so helpfull and why isn't may code used without transparent modification?
On my PC I was using Homesite. It was easy to use.

WebDesign does not change anything, there must be some other issue. Does this happen when you upload your pages to your server or when you preview them locally?

The reason I assumed that something was added was the text of the error message.
I did get the problem resolved, "../text/file.html" worked
