How do I use web design to automatically make a site map for the search engines to find?

This would link all pages on the site from the Index to the site_map to either sub_site_maps or individual pages.

Thanks

WebDesign can not do this automatically. You can create a new page, as you would create any web page, and design your site map yourself. Then submit it to search engines.

If you want the search engine to be able to find all your web pages and follow all links you do not have to do anything. This is done automatically by search engines. If you didn't want search engines to follow all links you would have to enter the appopriate meta tags which WebDesign can does do for you (Open the new document wizard and click the Advanced Tag button).

Thanks for the reply

Actually I think I know quite a bit about SEO and the like with some 1000's of pages indexed by Google and some 100's of first 10 positions for various highly competitve [that is millions of results eg:

Searched the web for ski france.
Results 1 - 10 of about 2,620,000

we are number three

We survived Florida got crucified by Austin and now we are back - you might like to refer to my post on the effects of adsense on

http://forums.seocha...hammered google

which just happens to be one of the higher ranking viewing figures of all the posts!

However the point is that it puzzled me why I was unable to create a site map with your program when you have a site manager which possibly could do so and so I thought I would ask.

Why cannot it exist?

As google has changed its algorithm there is an increasing emphasis on linking - when you have thousands of pages there is a need to be able to create or change inter linking with text "themes" easily through the use of site maps and sub site maps on each site and also through related sites.

Is this possible?

It would help - and there are thousands of web designers out there who need to understand SEO that would find it very helpful.

Thanks

PS Search Engine use of Meta tags eg Keyword and description as meta tags are not used by most of the search engines as relevant material at the moment. Doubtful if they will in the future either but you never know. For Search Engine control it is perhaps better to use a robots.txt file

If this is a feature you need, I will see what I can do to get it implemented. If you like, email support@ragesw.com with further details about this feature and what your expectation of it would be. Then we can let you know how quickly it can be added.
